About Us

Marion Cultural Development Corporation

The Marion Cultural Development Corporation (MCDC) is an affiliate of the Oregon Cultural Trust (OCT) serving Marion County. Its purpose is to enhance arts, culture, and heritage activities throughout the county. It fulfills this purpose primarily by awarding grants for projects in these areas to cultural non-profits or individuals sponsored by them. Between 2005 and 2024, MCDC has awarded over $560,000 with more than 300 grants to over 116 different organizations. Applications for grants to help fund projects to be carried out in 2025 are due by the dates listed below. Information on eligibility requirements and evaluation criteria can be found here on the MCDC website. Applications must be made online.

If you wish to apply, mark the following dates on your calendar:

  • October 13 – Applications Open
  • November 13- Applications Close (At 5pm)
  • December 15 – Notifications Received on or before this date
  • February  2025 – Award Ceremony for Grantees
  • December 31, 2025 – Last Day to Submit Final Reports (No Later)
